 Wherever you look, in forgotten corners and blind spots, in the places we have been taught to ignore, you will find the abject. And the abject portrays. It is a reflection of whoever discarded, whoever gave up, whoever's burden overcame them...

More than a Quarter Gone!

 As you will notice, our journey through the Powers of Horror takes us to the bodily and visceral as well as the mundane and humdrum, and the mirror again too. We are now more than a quarter of the way through!

Whether home or abroad, the ambulant mission to transcribe Julia Kristeva's seminal work remains the same: because being indoors doesn't make it any less transient or transitory. There is no limit to the length of the journey, if one walks in a helix or a circle, or simply back and forth. The topography and hidden surfaces of one's own room provide ample renewed sites of abjection, always different, always the same!

One's own body provides abject sites, abject sights, abject substances, potentialities unfulfilled...
